On January 13th at 7pm the Guidance Department and Administration look forward to hosting our annual Pathways Planning Parent Information Night! Increased Absences Due to Illness
At the request of York Region Public Health, we are sharing the attached letter.
York Region Public Health is currently seeing more student absences due to illness. The flu, stomach flu (norovirus) and the common cold are spreading fast. In the attached letter there are some tips for staying healthy.
The SBA Market Fair is Back!
Congratulations to SBA’s budding business entrepreneurs who have been busy preparing for this semester’s Market Fair! This experiential learning opportunity teaches students about building and running their own business. Dear York Catholic DSB Families,
Due to expected freezing rain this afternoon, student transportation is cancelled for today (Tuesday, January 6, 2026) in all York Region student transportation zones. As a result:

- For Parent(s)/Guardian(s) with children in Elementary Schools:

New Inclement Weather Zones
The York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB) is sharing the letter below from Student Transportation Services of York Region (STSYTR).
This letter provides information on new zones for cancelling student transportation due to inclement weather. Starting in January 2026, there will be two inclement weather zones in the YCDSB:
- The Georgina Service Area
