On February 12th, all Grade 9 students attended an assembly in Period 1 that outlined the course selection process in addition to some of the considerations that should be factored into decision-making. See below..
Parents are asked to also encourage the following:
- all students should be checking their school GMail account a minimum of 2-3 times each week for importance updates or announcements
- all students should be connected to their grade-specific Google Classroom, created by the Guidance Department, for all the latest updates that pertain specifically to their grade level; parents can also join
- honest dialogue about course types to maximize opportunities for success
- planning and research about possible pathways options – teachers and guidance counsellors can help with this
Course selection, along with payment of the $50 Student Activity Fee (via School Day) is due on February 20th.
