Requesting Course Changes

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!

 myBlueprint is not accurate as data will not be updated until late Sept.

Students were given the opportunity to change courses during the course verification process. Now that timetables have been completed during the scheduling process, counsellors can only consider requests that impact graduation requirements.

The deadline to request a S1 course change is Sept 8 @2:30 pm.

Students MUST follow their timetables until receiving an official confirmation from the guidance department that a change has been made. Please monitor your k12 email in case your counsellor needs further information.

REQUESTS FOR CHANGES TO GR 9 & 10 ELECTIVES WILL NOT BE PROCESSED. 

Students may make timetable change requests on Tuesday, August 29 to Wednesday, August 30 @2:30 pm by completing the course change request form located on the school website under the Students tab:

Counsellors will not be available for appointments and CHANGES WILL ONLY BE PROCESSED IF THE REQUEST MEETS ONE OF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA (not preference) AND ONLY IF SPACE PERMITS:

  • replacement of a course taken in summer school
  • compulsory course type change
  • failure of a prerequisite course/no prerequisite
  • sequencing issue (e.g. taking both Gr. 11 & Gr. 12 economics, Gr. 12 credit is in S1, Gr 12, 2 spares in one semester)
  • missing a compulsory course
  • Gr. 11 & 12 pathway issue
  • Balancing of course load (if possible)
  • Drop a course for a spare (Gr 12 only)

PLEASE NOTE THAT WHILE WE WILL DO OUR BEST, REQUESTS MAY NOT BE ABLE TO BE PROCESSED DUE TO FULL COURSES OR OTHER SCHEDULING ISSUES.

GRADE 9 STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE THEIR FINAL TIMETABLES IN THEIR HOMEROOM ON THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. ALL OTHER STUDENTS CAN ACCESS THEIR TIMETABLE ON THE PORTAL AS OF 4:30PM , SEPTEMBER 1ST.

GUIDANCE APPOINTMENTS:
Students can begin to make Guidance appointments on Friday, Sept 8 at 2:45 pm via our online calendar .
