October 5th is World Teachers’ Day. Created by UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization), World Teachers’ Day recognizes the contributions of teachers worldwide and helps to raise awareness, understanding and appreciation for the invaluable contributions that teachers make to education and development throughout the world.

October is Learning Disabilities Awareness month

Throughout October the Learning Disabilities Associations of Ontario will be marking LD Awareness month. In York Region the key event will be their 40th Anniversary Event taking place on September 26th 2016. Peer Tutor Inservice P4 Sept. 29

An inservice for all students who have already submitted a paper Peer Tutor Application to Guidance will be held today, Sept. 29 during period 4. Students are asked to go to their P4 class then proceed to room 205 for the inservice. Thank you to all the students who followed our final course change process last week. Timetables have been printed and no further timetable changes will be made unless there are extenuating circumstances.
